Nhuralama is more than a business – it is a living expression of culture, art, and community. Founded by Anne Leon, a proud Wakkaya, Wombaya, and Waanyi woman from Ipswich, Nhuralama creates a space where First Nations stories, art, and traditions are celebrated and shared. All Nhuralama artworks are designed and created by Anne, a contemporary First Nations artist continuing on her cultural journey. Through her art, Anne expresses the knowledge and storytelling shared by her family, mobs, Elders, and Ancestors. Each piece reflects both her growth as an artist and her deepening connection to culture, Country, and community.Through artworks, workshops, and cultural experiences, Nhuralama provides opportunities for people of all backgrounds to connect with the richness of First Nations culture. Each piece carries a story; every workshop is an invitation to sit in circle, yarn, learn, and create in a culturally safe space. Our shopfront in Ipswich is a place of connection, showcasing authentic First Nations artworks, handmade products, cultural designs, and bush-inspired wellbeing items. By supporting Nhuralama, you are also supporting a growing community of First Nations artists and businesses who walk with us on this journey.
